“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many.” -Mark 10:45
Jesus has come to serve us, wholeheartedly, and willingly. He has helped us in times of need, answered our prayers by faith through His grace, provided for us, and always loves us unconditionally.
Still, many rejected Him, doubted Him, questioned His existence, mocked Him, and turned their backs against Him. Even us believers took Him for granted, stopped giving thanks for all that He has done and accomplished for us on the cross, or worshipping Him in church, forget His faithful words, and lack the courage to be the salt and light for Him around our secular friends. And we beat ourselves over and over by acting like His blood can’t wash us once and for all as we strive on our own efforts to be holy, to make ourselves right, forgetting that our righteousness is only by His blood!
Even so, He never has left us or forsake us! That is His promise to us.
If you think that you need to wait for yourself to clean up your mess or getting your life straight before going to God, the good news is, Jesus IS your bath! Let Him do it for you! Let Him wash your feet!
I just pray that many will come back to Him, and realize that we are meant for a victorious life in Him, and we have a higher calling and purpose in His kingdom.
He loves us too much to see us stay the same…
